Hearsay: Secondhand
information that a witness only heard about from someone else and did not see or
hear himself. Hearsay is not admitted in court because it's not trustworthy,
though there are many exceptions.
Hostile Environment Sexual Harassment: Where a person is subject to
unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or
physical conduct of a sexual nature to such an extent that it alters the
conditions of the person's employment and creates an abusive working
environment.
Hung Jury: A jury that is unable to reach a verdict.
