Named Plaintiffs: The
originators of a class action suit.
Negligence: A failure to use
the degree of care that a reasonable person would use under the same
circumstances.
Nolo Contendere: No
contest-has the same effect as a plea of guilty, as far as the criminal sentence
is concerned, but may not be considered as an admission of guilt for any other
purpose.
Notary Public: A person
authorized to witness the signing of documents.
Notice Appeal: The document a
person must file with the trial court in order to pursue an appeal.
